Cairo / Alexandria / Luxor / Marsa Alam – 11 Nights / 12 Days

Day 1:

Cairo

Arrive at Cairo airport, meet and assist, Assistance by our transfer man through Airport formalities and transfer by a/c cars to your hotel & overnight.

Day 2:

Cairo

AM after breakfast departure with your Egyptologist guide, Exploration of the vast necropolis of SAKKARA containing tombs from almost every period of Egyptian history. The STEP PYRAMID of ZOSER is the most conspicuous landmark of the necropolis.

Lunch will be served in a nice restaurant with Oriental Egyptian food.

PM visit the three Pyramids of Guizeh and the Sphinx, Back to your hotel & overnight.

 

Day 3:

Cairo / Alexandria / Cairo

Early after breakfast Around 7 AM Travel to Alexandria via the desert road and spend the day breathing in the Mediterranean Sea breeze, arrive to Alexandria, start your tour with visiting the Catacomb of Komel-Shokafa. These tombs were tunneled into the bedrock in the age of the Antonine emperors (2nd century A.D.) for a single wealthy family still practicing the ancient religion. These tombs represent the last existing major construction for the sake of the old Egyptian religion. Visit the Bombay Pillar which was built in 297 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The Pillar itself is 9 meters / 29 feet in circumference and it is said that 22 people could lunch on the capital, or flat top of the Pillar.

 

Day 4  :

Cairo

AM after breakfast, meeting with your Egyptologist guide to visit the MOHAMMED ALY CITADEL erected in 1183 A.D. The ALABASTER MOSQUE of Mohammed Aly

is one of the landmarks of Cairo whose minaret is spotted from any part of the city Lunch will be served with Oriental Egyptian food.

PM Visit the new National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is located near the Babylon

Fortress and overlooks Ain Al-Sira in the heart of the historic city of Fustat, in the Old Cairo area of Cairo. The cornerstone was laid in 2002 to make this museum one of the most important and largest antiquities museums in the world, and it is the first museum to be devoted to the entirety of Egyptian civilization. , back to your hotel & overnight.

 

Day 5:

Cairo / Luxor – Cairo

AM after breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport to fly to Luxor, arrive to Luxor, Visit the massive Temple of Karnak which is regarded as a “holy city” of columns,

hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines, obelisks and the scarab

which is famous with its magical stories that you may experience by yourself. Then visit Luxor Temple which was once joined to Karnak by an avenue of  ram – headed sphinxes, many of which still remain., overnight in Luxor. Transfer to your hotel, check in & overnight.

 

(Possibility for optional visit to:  Sound & Light Show @ Karnak Temple).  In the evening and in the most agreeable weather, the sound and light show at the KARNAK temple will be the best way to end a day in Luxor city.   

Day 6 :

Luxor / Dandara & Abydos

Early morning after breakfast , Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to discover the ancient sites. First, visit Abydos, the ancient Egyptian believed of God underworld to be buried. The temple was built by King Seti I, and completed by King Ramsess II, known as the temple of Seti I. It is located in Sohag Government, and 135 km from Luxor. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. Then continue to Dendera and visit the Temple of Hathor (Goddess of love and joy) The temple is located in Dendera which is situated at the north of Luxor, after visit drive back to Luxor and get ready to enjoy the New year’s gala dinner. 

 

Day 7:

Luxor

After breakfast, meeting with your Egyptologist guide to cross to the West Bank of Luxor where the glorious and fascinating NECROPOLIS OF THEBES. By no mean this necropolis could be covered in one day, but as a first-time visitor, you will discover: VALLEY OF KINGS which contain the tombs of the kings. El Deir El Bahari Of Hatshepsut the women who ruled the country for more than 15 years, there you will see the story of her scared birth from the sun god Ra inscribed on the walls of the temple and Colossi of Memnon.

PM Free time in Luxor & overnight in Luxor.

Optional:   Ballon ride over the west bank in Luxor early morning before the tour, Early morning, our representative will pick you up from your boat in Luxor to the West Bank to enjoy the Egypt Hot Air Balloon. The ride takes about 45 minutes.

 

Day 8:

Luxor / Marsa Alam

AM After breakfast, Land transfer to your hotel in Marsa Alam by a/c minivan overnight.

Day 8 – Day 11                

Marsa Alam  Red Sea

Day 11 :

Marsa Alam  / Cairo

AM After breakfast, transfer to Marsa Alam Airport to fly to Cairo . Upon arrival assistance by our transfer man through Airport formalities and transfer by a/c cars to your hotel for overnight. – P.M. Free at leisure in Cairo.

 

Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids  

Duration: About 4 Hours

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to attend the Sound and Light Show @ Giza Pyramids Discover the enchanting history of the ancient Egyptians. The show starts with the story of the Sphinx who has been the vigilant guardian of the  city of the dead for five thousand years. The show also depicts the story of building the pyramids and relates the history of great figures of ancient Egypt, Back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

 

Day 12 :

Cairo

After Breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for final departure .
